Good news for fans of Martinis with Nick! I managed to blackmail Tony into shooting a second season, and the first interview was on Sunday. Special thanks to Corinna Burns for slipping into a mermaid tail and hanging out in a kiddie pool with me. I’ve been self-teaching myself how to make sushi, and my local fishmonger hooked me up with very fresh ahi tuna, diver scallops, and sea urchin. Yeah…sushi-grade sea urchin. It all went very well with a pitcher of vodka martinis, but later, Corinna astounded us with her mixology skills by churning out something called a Bees Knees. She doesn’t even need a jigger. That’s talent.
To any and all fans who just can’t wait to see Corinna impersonate an Irish mermaid explaining to her father why she loves a surface dweller, new episodes should air before the beginning of August. I hope everyone’s summer is going well…as you can see, mine’s off to a terrific start.
